Shipping, Pickup & FAQs
Shipping, Pickup & FAQs
Shipping chocolate shouldn’t be complicated.
Here’s what happens after you hit “Place Order” — from processing and USPS tracking to warm-weather shipping, local pickup, gifts, and what to do if something goes sideways.
Most shippable website orders are prepared quickly and sent via USPS Priority Mail.
Tracking is emailed automatically once USPS scans your package at pickup.
When temperatures climb, orders ship with thermal liners and ice packs.
Warm-weather shipping
Chocolate has opinions about Arizona summers. I plan accordingly.
Once temperatures reach 78°F, shippable orders leave on Tuesdays with thermal liners and ice packs to reduce the amount of time your chocolate spends in transit or sitting in a warehouse over a weekend.
When temperatures are below 78°F, orders may ship Tuesday through Saturday.
I ship in hot weather — even serious Arizona hot weather — but chocolate is still chocolate. Please watch your tracking and bring your package inside as soon as possible after delivery.
Shipping & tracking
What to expect after you order.
How quickly will my order ship?
Most shippable items usually ship within 1–2 business days via USPS Priority Mail. Holiday volume, special orders, and warm-weather shipping schedules can affect the exact ship date.
When will I receive tracking?
You’ll receive a tracking email once USPS scans the package when it is picked up. From there, you can follow the shipment directly through USPS.
Do you use any other carriers?
Shippable website orders are sent through USPS Priority Mail.
What if tracking says “delivered” but I don’t have it?
First, check around the delivery area, mailbox, household members, neighbors, or front desk if applicable. USPS sometimes scans packages shortly before final delivery. If it still hasn’t turned up, contact your local post office and reach out to me so I can help you determine the next step.
Heat, damage & delivery
Chocolate is sturdy. Until it isn’t.
What if my chocolate melts?
I take extensive precautions during warm weather, including adjusted ship days, thermal liners, and ice packs. Because I can’t control carrier conditions or how long a package remains outside after delivery, I can’t guarantee chocolate against heat exposure once it leaves my care.
If something genuinely goes wrong in transit, contact me within 48 hours and include photos so I can review what happened.
What if my order arrives damaged?
Please contact me within 48 hours of delivery and include clear photos of the package and damaged product. USPS Priority Mail includes insurance, and a carrier claim may be appropriate for transit damage.
Do you accept returns or exchanges?
No. Because Bomb Confections products are food items, returns and exchanges are not accepted.
What if there’s a quality or order problem?
Please contact me within 48 hours of delivery with photos and a description of the issue. I’ll review the situation and determine the appropriate resolution.
Addresses, changes & gifts
A few things worth checking before checkout.
What if I entered the wrong shipping address?
Please contact me immediately. If the order has not been processed or shipped yet, I’ll do my best to correct it.
Once an order has shipped, customers are responsible for replacement and/or reshipping costs caused by an incorrect address entered at checkout. Returned packages can take several weeks to make their way back.
Can I change or cancel my order?
Please contact me as soon as possible. Many orders are made and packed quickly — sometimes the same day they’re placed — so changes and cancellations are not guaranteed once production has begun.
Once an order has been made, packed, or shipped, it cannot be canceled or refunded.
Can I send an order directly as a gift?
Absolutely. Your billing and shipping addresses can be different, so you can send Bomb Confections directly to the recipient.
Can I include a gift message?
If the product or checkout option allows a gift note, include it there. For anything special, contact me before ordering and I’ll let you know what’s possible.
Local pickup
Close enough to skip the mailbox?
Local pickup is available by appointment in East Mesa near Ellsworth & Guadalupe. Some special-order products are local-pickup-only and will be clearly marked on their product pages.
Pickup details and timing are confirmed after your order is placed. Please wait for confirmation before heading over — chocolate waits patiently; I may not.
Alcohol & ingredients
Yes, some of the chocolate is actually boozy.
Do Bomb Confections products contain real alcohol?
Some do. Certain bonbon ganaches are made with real spirits and the finished product contains less than 0.5% alcohol.
What about toffee and cake sicles?
Some recipes use alcohol during preparation, and those recipes are heated as part of the preparation process.
Where can I find ingredient and allergen information?
Important ingredient, allergen, and cottage-food information is displayed on each product page so you can review it before ordering. If you have a specific ingredient or allergy concern, please contact me before placing your order.
Didn’t find what you needed?
No problem. Whether it’s about an order, shipping, local pickup, an event, or something completely chocolate-related, send me a message and I’ll help you sort it out.
